At the same time, former head Husker football coach Tom Osborne, Lt. Gov. Mike Foley, the state attorney general and other state and local leaders will join Gov. Pete Ricketts in opposition of the bill.
To kick off the news conference, Ricketts had strong words. The governor listed several young people who consumed marijuana products and died.
"This is a dangerous drug that will impact our kids. If you legalize marijuana, you’re gonna kill your kids. That's what the data shows around the country," Ricketts said. "Don't legalize marijuana in the state of Nebraska."
